Normangee ISD

NISD is without electricity. Bus routes have ran and will bring kids to campus. We will delay the start of school until 9:30 AM. We will have staff at campus to supervise those students that end up at campus from bus routes, we do have breakfast ready to serve those students.

This week at Normangee ISD.... It is a week full of many exciting activities. We are also celebrating Red Ribbon Week. This is a time where our students focus on the importance of living a drug free life and learning more about how bullying can be harmful. Thursday 10/28: * "Sock it to drugs" Crazy Sock Day * Junior High Football @ Centerville. 7th Grade @ 5:00. 8th Grade @ 6:00. JV game to be determined. Friday 10/29: * "My future without drugs is bright" Neon Day * Panthers for Christ @ 7:00 am. * Last day of the 2nd Six Weeks. * Black Out Pep Rally with Senior Slideshow @ 2:45 pm. * Possible High School Volleyball tiebreaker game against Centerville. Time and place TBA. * High School Football vs. Centerville @ Home. 7:00 pm. Senior Night activities will take place before start of the game. Saturday 10/30: * PTO Fall Carnival from 1:00-4:00 in the NISD bus loop. Monday, 11/1: No School for Students. NISD Staff Development Day.

Parents, all report cards have been published on Parent Portal and also will be coming home with your students today. If you’re having trouble viewing report cards from your phone, please try a desktop computer.

Normangee ISD students collected over 500 non-perishable food items in support of the Annual Homecoming Rep-Rally Pageant. These items were donated to the local Geelan House Food Pantry. Pictured, are some of our NISD students making the delivery this week.

Congratulations to Isabel Duran! She was selected for recognition for the Rural and Small Town Recognition Program by Collegeboard. This honor is for students who scored in the top 10% in the state on the PSAT in the fall of their sophomore year while maintaining at least a 3.5 GPA in high school. Congratulations Isabel!!!
