Meet the Teacher Night is coming up!
The Normangee ISD Track and Tennis Courts are closed as of today, 6/6/2024, for maintenance. A notification will be sent once this work is complete and these areas are opened back up. Thank you for your understanding.
Attention Parents:
All Normangee ISD bus routes are running about 10 minutes late this afternoon. This is due to a bus returning later than expected from a field trip. Thank you for your understanding.
Due to hazardous road conditions in surrounding areas and lack of power at our campuses Normangee ISD will be cancelling school for today. Classes will resume at normal time tomorrow.
Due to current weather conditions Normangee ISD will have a 2-hour delayed start today. Buses will run. at a 2 hour delay also.

The 2024-2025 School Calendar has been posted to the Normangee ISD website. From the district homepage you can access the main menu and see the calendar posted under administration.
Normangee ISD progress reports for all students have been posted to parent portal. Parents can view their student's progress report by logging into their parent portal account.
Due to current weather conditions and the forecast for current weather conditions to continue, Normangee ISD will be closed on Tuesday 1/16 and all activities have been cancelled. NISD will have a 10:00 am delayed start on Wednesday 1/17. Buses will start their routes at 8:00 am on Wednesday morning.

It is with a heavy heart that I send this announcement that my time serving this incredible school district as superintendent is coming to an end. This evening I have been named Lone Finalist by the Montgomery ISD Board of Trustees to serve as the next superintendent of MISD.
In 2018 my family and I were welcomed into this community with open arms and ever since we have been blessed to serve and live alongside some of the most incredible people we’ve ever known. My children and I have gained lifelong friends and my wife has been able to revive cherished old friendships while making new ones along the way.
I want to say thank you to the NISD Board of Trustees for their leadership, support, and guidance throughout my time at Normangee. We have worked hard to continually improve on the educational experiences for our students and our abilities to meet their needs. I have always strived to ensure our district is a source of pride in our community.
I can’t say enough about the individuals that show up to work each day to fill the hallways, classrooms, and offices of NISD. They will always hold a special place in my heart and are the true reason Normangee ISD is and will continue to be successful.
The NISD Board of Trustees are already active in discussions and establishing a plan for the superintendent vacancy.
It truly is an emotional time for my family. It is hard to leave a place we cherish and love. Thank you for your continued support of Normangee ISD.

Former NISD Chief of Police, Donnie Mordecai, passed away unexpectedly on Friday morning. We are truly heartbroken. Chief Mordecai's impact on our students, staff, and climate during his time at Normangee were undeniable and something we will be forever grateful for. Please help us lift up the Mordecai family in their time of grief and loss.
